Push-In Robber Caused Elderly Woman to Fall, Displays Knife

QUEENS - Police have arrested a suspect in the push-in robbery in which an elderly woman was thrown to the floor and the robber menaced her with a knife. 


The NYPD announced the arrest of 24-year-old Leo Hyun of 233 Street. He was charged with robbery, burglary and unlawful imprisonment. 


At around 11 am on January 3rd, a young man knocked on the door to an elderly woman’s home in the vicinity of 231 Street and 64 Avenue. The 92-year-old woman opened the door and engaged in a conversation with the man. 


Suddenly the man pushed his way inside and the victim fell to the floor. The attacker then displayed a knife to the elderly victim, cops said. The man took the victim’s wallet which contained credit cards and $100 cash before fleeing, cops said. 


The victim suffered pain to the head as a result of the fall, cops said.
