QUEENS - Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man for at least five indecent exposure incidents since July- in one instance targeting a 14-year-old child.

Police have arrested 35-year-old Jose Lopez of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, which is just outside Philadelphia. Lopez was charged with five counts of public lewdness.

According to the NYPD, the individual has targeted girls and women between the ages of 14 and 36-years old inside subway cars or on subway platforms within the confines of the NYPD's 61st, 70th Precincts in Brooklyn and the 104th Precinct in Queens.

Police reported similar incidents on July 22, September 9, November 7, December 27 and 30th. In each instance the man exposed himself and began masturbating. Police say that none of the victims were physically harmed.

The incidents have taken place on both northbound and southbound trains along the F, Q and M-Lines. The NYPD says the five incidents have taken place on weekdays between the hours of 12 noon and 8 p.m.

Police also credited a 19-year-old woman who was exposed twice by the individual on the same day, when she bravely captured a recording of him with her cellphone which helped police obtain additional surveillance photos of the suspect.

In an unrelated case, on January 4, the NYPD announced the arrest of 23-year-old Isaiah Benjamin, 23, of West 133 Street, Manhattan, who was charged in a January 1 attack of an 18-year-old female on board a southbound 2-Train as it approached the 125th Street Station.

Police say Benjamin exposed himself and began to masturbate, before attempting to remove the woman's clothing. Cops say that as the train approached the 72 Street Station, a Good Samaritan intervened and helped the woman flee to another train car.

Benjamin is now facing charges of attempted rape, sex abuse, forcible touching, and public lewdness.
