QUEENS - Julio Fernando Pina-Illescas was sentenced to 17.5 years to life in jail for physically attacking a youngster relative throughout 10 years, starting when the young lady was 4 years of age. In a different case, Pina-Illescas has been accused of mishandling two other pre-high schooler young ladies, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced.


“This defendant, now a convicted sexual predator, used his access and authority to prey on an innocent child,” Katz said.  “While we cannot take away the trauma caused by his acts, I hope the prison sentence provides a measure of closure to the young victim, who bravely stepped forward to tell us about the horrors she was forced to endure. My office will pursue full accountability in the separate indictment against the defendant.” 


Pina-Illescas, 39, of Corona, was indicted last month by a jury on charges of ruthless rape of a kid and imperiling the government assistance of a kid, driving High Court Equity David J. Kirschner to condemn him to 17.5 years to life in jail, to be trailed by five years post-discharge oversight. Pina-Illescas will likewise be expected to enroll as a sex guilty party.


As indicated by the charges and preliminary declaration:


• Between around August 2009 and October 2019, starting when the victim was 4, Pina-Illescas physically attacked and assaulted the casualty on various events.


• The maltreatment happened inside Pina-Illescas' two spots of home in Corona .


In a different case, Pina-Illescas was prosecuted in 2020 on two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for abusing another child relative and other young girl. 


The case is pending.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Curtis Moe of Brooklyn. An investigation revealed that Moe was shot in the chest in front of 178-16 Leslie Road.

At around 5:45 pm on March 12, a 26-year-old male was standing in front of 76-07 160th Street. Cops said a man in a black coat and a black face covering ran up and pulled out a gun. The gunman fired multiple rounds at the victim but missed. The gunman then ran away on in an unknown direction. However, cops recovered surveillance video of the suspect from a nearby house. Toolbox Muggers Attack Man on F Train The NYPD is searching for these men in connection with an assault and robbery of a straphanger using pliers. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice April 24, 2024 QUEENS - A Queens subway rider was beaten and robbed by a pair of attackers who displayed a knife and a pair of pliers, cops said.  At around 8 pm on April 20, a 20-year-old man was onboard an F Train in Queens. As the train was pulling in to the Hillside Avenue/179 Street Subway Station, two men approached the straphanger.  Cops said one of the men pulled out a knife, the other pulled out a pair of pliers. The attackers then began punching and kicking the straphanger. They also beat the man with the pliers, cops said.
