QUEENS - Cops arrested a Queens teenager in connection with the vicious mugging on a subway platform.

The NYPD announced the arrest of a 15-year-old male. He was charged with two counts of robbery. Police would not release the suspect’s name because he is a minor.

At around 3:40 pm on January 8, a 17-year-old male was standing on the platform for the L Train when he was approached by two males. Cops said without warning the two males began wailing on the victim.

The attackers repeatedly punched the victim while trying to remove his cellphone. Instead, cops said, the robbers only managed to remove $12 from the victim before running off.

Cops said another suspect is being sought in the mugging.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
