QUEENS - Maybe the brazen thief was too brazen. Cops have an image of one of the suspected safe thieves who brazenly walked a giant safe out of a Queens building in broad daylight.

Cops have been searching for the pair who robbed a building in Far Rockaway last week. The robbers were caught on multiple cameras stealing the large safe on a hand truck. However, the suspects were wearing masks from the time they entered the building until after they wheeled the stolen safe out.

However, investigators have images of one of the suspects without a mask, cops said. The NYPD released the grainy images of the suspect who has a medium complexion and a beard and a stocky build.

At around 2:30 pm on May 7, two men entered a building in the vicinity of Dinsmore Avenue and Beach 9th Street in Far Rockaway. Cops said the crooks broke into a storage room and removed the safe.

The NYPD released surveillance video shows the suspects loading the safe, which was on a hand truck, into an elevator. They are then seen casually walking through the lobby of the building with the safe.

Cops said they loaded the safe into a dark-color Ford Taurus and drove away.

According to the surveillance video, both suspects appear to be stocky built with light complexions. They both wore black hoodies, black pants, black baseball caps and black masks.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
