Man Brutally Beat, Stabbed Elderly Dad, Prosecutors Say

The defendant was also charged with trashing the interogation room when investigators tried to question him. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced that Jaimie Walker, 30, has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his 72-year-old father. The victim was found Thursday morning in the bathroom of his Queens Village home with multiple stab wounds to his neck. The defendant is additionally charged with criminal mischief for wrecking the interview room inside a police precinct. Katz said, “The defendant in this case is accused of committing patricide. One shocking attack was caught on video.  Police released surveillance video of a brutal attack taken inside a Queens hotel in which a worker was slashed repeatedly after handing the man a bottle of water. Police are looking for this man in connection with a stabbing in the Bronx on Christmas morning. At around 6:15 am on January 10, a 33-year-old worker at the La Quinta Inn on Queens Boulevard confronted a man who was loitering in the hotel’s lobby. The loiterer asked for a bottle of water. Subscribe in a reader By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 5, 2021  An elderly woman suffered a broken elbow when a mugger threw her to the ground to grab her purse, the NYPD says. Cops released surveillance video of the suspect in the Queens attack who was spotted inside a Bronx bodega.  At around 5:15 pm on January 3, an 83-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk in front of 112-01 Queens Boulevard. A dark SUV pulled up, a man jumped out and threw the woman to the ground. He grabbed her purse and fled in the SUV.  Cops say the mugger made off with $50, bank cards and an iPhone.  The elderly victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she was treated for a broken elbow.  Investigators from the NYPD said they have identified the suspect. Burglar Makes Off with $100,000 in Jewelry from Queens Mall

Subscribe in a reader By Dan Gesslein Queens Voice January 5, 2021  A burglar who broke into a shuttered store in a Queens mall made off with $100,000 worth of jewelry, the NYPD says.   Police released surveillance video of the suspect taken from the parking lot of the Queens Center Mall. In the video the man is seen wearing a mask and gloves and appears to be carrying a bag as he leaves on foot.  At around 10:15 pm on December 28, a burglar forced his way through a secured door into the closed Zales Jewelry in the mall. Investigators say the man took $100,000 worth of jewelry and then fled the mall on foot.  Anyone with information is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Fugitive Son Arrested in Florida Subscribe in a reader A fugitive on the run in Florida has been returned to New York to face murder charges. The suspect and his mother have been charged in the murder of a Queens man over $350 in car repiars.  Raymond Jackson, 22, has been extradicted to New York and faces murder charges. Jackson has been on the run since September in connection with the shooting death of a Queens man.  Jackson’s mother had been charged for her alledged part in the murder after she was arrested during a traffic stop. Prosecutors believe they recovered the murder weapon from inside the car she was driving. District Attorney Melinda Katz said, “This mother and son duo allegedly teamed up to kill a man. At around 10:30 am on November 11, the elderly woman was standing outside the Post Office at 229-01 Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights when she was approached by a woman. Without warning she punched the 86-year-old in the face.
